MONITORING AND EVALUATION OF MDGs PROJECTS/PROGRAMS

 

Monitored MDGs Projects/Programmes 2006-2013, as Zonal CSO in Katsina State, Jigawa State and Kebbi States respectively 2006-2007, as Katsina State CSO 2008, 2009 and 2013.

The active case finding commenced in February 2016 by Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH) as the principal recipient of under the Global Fund strategy and new funding model project. This is one of the strategic approaches currently being employed in the Global Fund New Funding Model (NFM) for increasing Tuberculosis case detection.
This is in response to the findings from the first Tuberculosis prevalence survey in Nigeria conducted in 2012, which showed high incidence of the disease.
87 Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and 870 trained Community Tuberculosis Workers (CTWs) have been engaged in 22 priority states, for this intervention which is being funded by the Global Fund NFM grant.
TB Network is the Sub-recipient while Murna foundation is the Sub-Sub recipient of this project working in Daura LGA of Katsina and covering 3 slums namely Majme, Kofar Baru and Unguwan Dole with ten community TB workers spread across the three Slums.
